CHUCK TAYLOR is the Program Director for KHYI in Dallas/Fort Worth. Chuck also hosts the syndicated Texas Countdown, the top 20 songs from Texas each week! Chuck is recognized for his interviews with the biggest names in Texas music. Born in Pine Bluff, AR, he first moved to Austin in 1999 where he fell in love twice, once with the woman who would become his wife and once with Texas Music. The need to champion independent artists led Chuck to the PD position at KHYI. In the three years he’s been at the station he has helped refine KHYI’s approach to a truly niche format that combines Americana with Texas/Red Dirt Music.
