Breakout West Party

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Western Canada is known for cold winters and hot music. But we’re no strangers to the joys of a summer afternoon backyard BBQ party. BreakOut West brings a stellar showcase of new music plus beer, food trucks and a dose of East Nashville attitude to the backyard at The Groove. Performers include JUNO Award-nominated country-roots singer-songwriter Del Barber, alt-country crooners The Bros. Landreth, prairie balladeer Zachary Lucky and folk-pop husband wife duo The Royal Foundry. The second annual BreakOut West Americanafest party is presented by Alberta Music, Manitoba Music, and Sask Music.

Recorded at Empire Recording in Winnipeg, the album is blanketed in warmth... Read More →

Joey contributes: “After watching these... Read More →

Zachary Lucky

Hearing Zachary Lucky’s songs, or reading or writing about this emerging and indelible Canadian artist’s past, it would seem impossible to separate the singer-songwriter from his prairie origins. With his sixth and latest release, The Ballad Of Losing You, there is an inherent shift. As the album title suggests, Lucky has constructed an earnest and personal narrative about the uncertainty of loss and of transformation... Read More →
