Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Jim Rooney, GRAMMY Award-winning producer of Nanci Griffith, John Prine and Iris DeMent and recipient of an Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award, will be reading from his classic Bossmen: Bill Monroe & Muddy Waters and his recently published memoir In It For The Long Run: A Musical Odyssey. A born storyteller, he’ll tell of how he came to know both Monroe and Muddy and came to the startling conclusion that they were very much alike as men and in the way that they created two classic forms of American music: Bluegrass and Chicago Blues.
