Immigrant Union

Immigrant Union formed via a chance meeting at a bar between Brent DeBoer (The Dandy Warhols) and Bob Harrow (The Lazy Sons), their shared love of music led to a trip to the bush and an all night jam, solidifying a friendship that would form the basis of Immigrant Union.

Part psychedelic folk, part country rock, Immigrant Union have been building their name through stellar live performances at some of the country's most iconic venues and boutique festivals like Boogie and The Hills Are Alive. Consecutive years of performing at the Tamworth Music Festival has earned them the reputation as the peculiar but beloved alt country "out of towners" at Australia's best know country music event.

Their continuous string of live shows has earned the band rave reviews and invitations to tour with and support international acts the likes of Noel Gallagher and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Dead Meadow.

In 2011 the band travelled to Portland, Oregon to record their self-titled full-length debut album with producer Gregg Williams. Taking on Producer duties themselves, their second album 'Anyway' was recorded at various Australian recording studios before being mixed at Colour Sound in Melbourne. 'Anyway' features ex-bandmate Courtney Barnett on slide guitar and guest vocals.

With singles coming out in the US from June, Immigrant Union will be releasing 'Anyway' in September 2014 followed by appearances at The Americana Music Festival in Nashville in September and a national tour of the USA in October.

Their music is the classic story telling style of songs that is reminiscent of Neil Young and Bob Dylan... a relaxed set of soulful, folk infused country songs - The AU Review

"Immigrant Union, whose sound is a lush hybrid of folk and country, mixed with dream pop and psychedelic undertones." Nathan Wood - Country Music Channel
